Lumia 830 keeps restarting

I connected my windows 10 powered lumia 830 to the charger in the middle of the night, say at 2, woke up in the morning at 6, my lumia 830 off but still connected. I tried to power it on but it kept restarting before finalizing the process of powering on. I tried and tried and tried but still no luck.

2 or 3 days before, my phone restarted but only twice or thrice in the space of 2 days.

I am still thinking may be the different chargers i used, including the car charger didddamage something. I did try the following, soft reset, battery out and in, going back to 8.1, and hard reset in 8.1.

Can anybody help please because the phone is unusable as it cant stay on..!!

Hi, you have tried most of the usual suggestions.
The only things left really are to try powering the phone up without the sim card, as this can sometimes cause strange problems. Also remove the SD card (if installed).
Failing that a replacement battery would be worth trying.

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried that too bar the new battery. Although the battery behaved normally

So it does it in 8.1 and 10?

it does in both but now it is in 8.1. I have had the phone for something like 4-5 months now

It sounds like a hardware fault if it is still there after a hard reset/roll back to 8.1.
If you have only had it 4-5 months (from new?), I would get it repaired under warranty.

Hi, I had similar issue with mine 830. I bought it last May and after 4 months it started restarting and lose the mobile signal. Some days it didn't restart at all other it kept restarting periodically (10 - 20 times). I get it repaired under warranty (they only hard reset it which I did before but they ignored this info). After I got it back the problem was even worse. I was unable to start it since it kept restarting all the time so next day I returned it to the service and they've sent me new device. Originally it was SWAP issue according to the servicing report.

Guys today i have officially said goodbye and RIP to my Lumia 830.
Initially the phone behaved like i reported, then after a day or two, it kept restarting itself but this time it was not unusable. So it would restart itself regularly after every 3-4 hours. I was able to use it though. Today all of a sudden it was off and could not start. Tried putting it on a charger, soft reset using a button combo, no luck. My thinking is that this is a hardware issue, unfortunately the warrant was for only for 3 months (yes 3) and the period expired 2 or 3 months ago.

So we can stop suggesting what to do and will close the topic. May be the topic will help some people in one way or another.
