Lumia 925 won't charge.

My Lumia 925 suddenly turned off and it won't start again. When I put it on charge I can see the charging light for a second if I move the cable but it still doesn't charge. I took it to the service center and they said I'll have to get the power section replaced. What exactly is the power section? My phone shows the charging light in the home button for a second when i plug the usb in and then disappears.
