Lumia 928 Won't update to GDR2 Amber

My Lumia 928 got the blue screen of death so I brought mine back and just got a replacement. Upon activating the new device and trying going to Phone Update in Settings, it keeps telling me my phone is up to date. I've tried updating my extras+info and it still won't update. Also updated all other Nokia updates including display and touch, etc. I can now use glance and the double tap, but still on GDR1. I'm confused...

Sounds like you're on gdr2...
Did you check the firmware number?

All 928's at this time should come with the gdr2 Amber update out of the box.

Damn. I was confused thinking I had GDR1 like my first 928. For some reason, it does not say Amber lie my wife's.

All up to date. Maybe its just a deal where your "stock" OS version doesn't display the Nokia updated version. With my original 928, it never said Portico out of the box.

Anyway, I have an active paid dev account with an app currently available on the WP Store. I wanted to jump to the GDR3 preview. This was the only thing holding me back. I just hope I can get the Nokia Black update over the air when on Update 3.

Just did the GDR3 update. One thing that bugged the hell out of me before was that my live tiles never updated. EVER. It's a nice change to not have to open every app to keep informed now.

I'm having trouble syncing via Yahoo! Mail. It loads forever and tells me I can't sync. It only synced with my account once and that was on my initial startup. I'm frustrated as all hell.

Figured out what changed. The new extras+info update puts the Amber software info under extras+info in settings.
