Lumia 930 w/ Denim

I purchased a Lumia 930 (Black/Gold) from Amazon a few weeks ago. Yes, it was RM-1045_1044, 000-HK. After changing it to US region and English, I updated it with Windows Insider to the 10166 W10 build. I was having problems with overheating and wanted "Hey Cortana", so I decided to throw caution to the wind. I flashed it to the GB 059W004 product code. Voila! After reinserting my AT&T sim card, and changing language to US English, I now have Denim and "Hey Cortana" on my 930, running on AT&T. Everything seems to work great. Now it shows as RM-1045_1003, 000-GB.

Yeah I really like using W10TP 10166, but I sure do miss "hey Cortana". Will just wait it out though. Don't want to go back to 8.1.

My Lumia 930 was heating up badly during initial setup, but after getting all the OS and Firmware updates it now gets about as hot as my ATIV S when in use. I love the 930 though especially Hey Cortana.

Is win10 10166 so good ? I see many people saying that it's much better than win8.1.

For me W10TP is good. It's all relative though...depends in what features you find important on your phone.

I agree with Mary Beth. I really liked 10166 when I had it on my 930. The only problem I had was heat and I missed "Hey Cortana". I went with Denim and really like it. That is not to say I won't be putting W10 back on my phone.

Hoping MS will enable "hey Cortana" this coming week in a new build for my 930. Will stay with W10 in the meantime. It's pretty cool that we have 2 great options for our phones and can switch if we want to.

I see. I actually wanted to try win10 a while ago, it just happened to be the worst build of them all and ****ed everything up for me. So I decided to wait for the final release. :grin:
