Lumia Alarm clock does not light up when it goes off. Is there a way to change the setting?

Alarm clock goes off screen remains dark nothing lights up until I find the phone and press the on off button.

Mine lights the screen, but then times out quickly. About 10 seconds after wake, the screen sleeps again if not unlocked.

I'm afraid I don't know of a setting to change that.
