Ok I guess my point is, if Android released on incremental update to the Nexus 5 and Verizon updated the HTC one within 5 weeks it would be pretty quick. So Black was out on a couple of At&t devices 21 days ago, if Verizon gets it out on he 928 within 2 weeks from today, I'd be surprised.

You can download the app folder app from the store. You don't need GDR3 or black to download it or use it. And it is available everywhere, not just China.

If I've learned anything, it is that Verizon is extremely unpredictable when it comes to updates. GDR1 was slow on the 822. GDR2 was fast on the 928 and 822. But I don't think the Trophy ever got the 7.8 update. And now we're not up front with GDR3 like we were with GDR2. I think it just goes to show how silly it is to try to predict these things.

Yeah, my Trophy never got the 7.8 update. I had to put a 7.8 ROM on it.

In the US, correct - kind of, depending on which update you're talking about. GDR3 did come to Verizon HTC 8X phones, but that doesn't include Black, because Black is Nokia's update, which can include firmware, software, and changes to the OS that were allowed by Microsoft for Nokia. Also, the 1520 and 1320 have it out of the box. Off the top of my head, though, I think the 1320 is not in America.

My 925 refuses to be peeked post-Black.

I wonder if there are some bugs with the Black Update. Maybe thats why most of the North America phone havent got it yet.

It's because US carriers have such a stranglehold on updates.

And because the 928 is only sold in the states and not internationally like all the other lumias. Nothing yet but I heard that after they put the "Icon" out is when they'll do the update.

Getting something as well....took a few checks as I got the "Unable to Check for Updates at This Time" error. Will post back in a bit....

So it looks like it was a bust. It just downloaded the latest firmware that nokia has on it's update site. 3045.0000.1328.2046. Dang it! That got me all excited

Hopefully since Verizon is pushing this small update, that means they are prepping for black.

Says its Microsoft Update 8.0.10328.78 - which on the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 update page says is Update 2. A little strange, as this phone already had GDR2 & Amber, so we'll see. Waiting on spinning gears at the moment

Yeah I confirmed on my phone it is still amber... Very strange. I guess Verizon just didnt have us on the latest firmware, which I assume is required to update to GDR3 and Black
