Maps issue in 640xl

Hi friends,
I read somewhere that you cannot move the here maps to sd card in 640. Is it true? Any workarounds we have ?
(I am planning to get 640xl, this issue is not a deal breaker but I would like to get some clarity before I buy it )

Hi,
unfortunately it is not possible for the moment to move the maps on SD cards.
It was possible before, and it is possible on android.

How much free space you get in 8 gigs ?

First my storage sense shows only 7.28 GB instead of the 8 GB on the spec.
- I have used 4.87 GB and ve got 2.41 GB free space:
. 580 MB for apps & Games
. 161 MB for emails + Messaging
. 602 MB for maps (full UKmap)
. 3.19 GB for System
. 371 MB for Other

No, email need to be stored on phone memory, and some developers decide their apps can't be installed on SD card i.e. WhatsApp (received pictures, and other media still get stored on SD card so you won't run out of space), Nextgen Reader, but it's really rare, and usually only for some small ones, most apps and games can be moved. Podcast can't be moved, well they can but it won't get detected again in Podcast app, so before downloading any, make sure in Storage Sense default music, video, and podcast is set to SD card. That's pretty much it.
