Hi All,

Am planning to buy a memory card for my mobile.

I know lumia 730 supports upto 128 Gb sd card.

But i heard that if we have more than 16 gb card will slow down this beautyfull phone, is that true?

Can i go for 16GB or 32GB?

And also please suggest me fastest memory card available in the market.

Thanks in advance

I bought a SanDisk Ultra 32Gb last year. It's Class 10, and I don't recommend you go below that. Works perfectly, although after numerous updates without scanning for errors I did need to format it once (OneDrive means this isn't a problem).

If you get a class 10 card that are UHS-1 or 633x will typically have the fastest transfer rates.

There are speed ranges from 45mb/s to 95mb/s depending on how much you want to spend and whether the phone can support those speeds. (something to check)

There's no reason why you cannot go for a large card if that suits your needs. If you plan to use it for games it might not be optimal but for everything else I don't see an issue.

Hi, i got sandisk 64Gb Class 10 memory, a month or 20 days before, already occupied 20GB with FULL HD Movies and FULL HD Video songs. My phone is working butter smooth. Yes i will recommend to use 64Gb, i have not tested with 128GB card, soon will test it with 128Gb and update here....

The size of the SD card is completely irrelevant with Windows Phone, due to the way the OS handles storage. On Android this however IS a serious problem due to the bad way Android manages storage and memory. (seriously, it uses the same basics that Windows Mobile 5.x used, wtf)

The only thing that can slow down the 735 is a bad or slow SD card. Be sure to get a UHS-I/Class 10 card to get an optimal experience. Anything less than that I would not recommend, especially if you want to install apps on it.

I have the Samsung UHS-1 class 10 64gb card that I picked up from Amazon for $33 in my phone, got it last month. Runs smooth. Have the SanDisk 32gb Extreme in the HP Stream 7 .

HI YASWANTH,

Please make sure that your memory card is class 10, you can use 128 GB if you have the budget, or else go with 64 GB, surely not any less then 64.

Am using 64gb class 10 memory card, my phone is butter smooth, one of my friend is using 128 Gb without any issues.

guys. I want to buy samsung evo class 10 memory card fr my lumia 730. Bt i m confused b/w 32gb and 64gb. So which one is bettr ?

Neither is "better."

64 GB has more space for games, movies, music, photos, etc. but costs more.
128 GB is going to be even more expensive.
32 GB is cheaper and has less space, but its still a lot. Get whatever amount you need. Heck, I could probably get by with a 16 GB card.
