Metro Newspaper's deliberate attempt to mask Windows Phone

As I was walking back from the gym, I decided to pick up the metro paper for the puzzles whilst I waited at the local cafe for a quick bite and drink.

To my shock, horror and jaw dropping surprise (well I'm just being overly dramatic here :winktongue.. I saw this:

I guess the author is a disgruntled IOS / Android user, as usually these images either contain the latest Iphone, Galaxy or HTC phone...

So you think the Windows logo and Nokia logo was removed deliberately?

I certainly think so, as I have seen tonnes of advert like these with the Apple, Samsung or HTC prominently shown on the buses, billboards, bus stop etc.

Anyway I am having a look through page 40 and the list of gadgets, If I do find the apps - I will update this post.

Well having tried to hunt down these apps, I can tell you the windows phone advocate in me died a little in frustration BUT the gadget geek in me is jumping for glee - at all these gizmos along with the fact there is a gap in the windows phone market place ripe for exploitation .

Now any seasoned devs want to take up a project lol?

It is called "Metro" (Metro.co.uk: News, Sport, Showbiz, Celebrities from Metro Newspaper), unfortunately I had errands to run so wasn't able to hunt for the apps.

Huh. That's kinda weird, actually. Do they at least have a WP app to go with it?

They do but it hasn't been updated since December 2012.

is it going positive or negative towards windows phone?

the removal of logos of MS and WP, might be on purpose. obviously, they will have to disclose the declaration about logos and trademarks.
rather, removing them makes it simple and easy.
in fact, i am happy that, they r using WP Metro. it is completely distinguished and easily recognizable. i am completely agree with "HeyCori" above.

There is no concern, I guess I wasn't clear enough in the 1st post lol. I was just sharing this with you guys what I saw, never the less I admit I was surprised and almost choked on my sandwich.
