So, today my battery got down to 7%. Around this time, my phone told me my MicroSD card had been removed (obviously hadn't been). When I plugged the phone into the charger, it told me there was an issue with the card, proceeded to scan, and all was good.

I have a 1520 on AT&T running Cyan. I moved all of my apps to the card earlier. It's a Class 10 SanDisk 64gb card.

Have any of you had this happen?

Thanks.

Win 8.1 is the absolute worst.

everything was beautiful before win 8.1, mine is a lumia 1520, have a 64 GB card, among other things facing these sd card related issues from day i upgraded to win 8.1
1) Not all pics on phone are read, few albums are visible but cant view pics.
2)Pics taken through cam cant be seen right away, response is slow
3) SD card always fills up no matter what, even 15 GB are cleared, something just fills it up, the idiotic storage sense just keeps telling memory is filled up

Win 8 was way better, 8.1 is a big headache, thinking of switching back to android

Not sure I can agree with you that one issue with a memory card nullifies the hundreds of great things they added.

Thanks for the input though.

It happens on Android devices too.
SD cards are extremely fragile and are prone to lose data. If you switch to Android, you will most likely face this issue on a daily basis.

At least WP fixed it. Android would have most likely lost your data!!!

This kind of stuff has definitely happened to me, it is not common and you are likely not going to face it again.

The only precaution I would advise is to always safely remove SD card from your phone to prevent any loss of data.

Wow don't hate on other OSes, this problem occurs on both Windows Phone and Android.

I develop for Android, so I AM allowed to hate on this particular OS. The SDK is a complete pain to use. Beyond frustrating sometimes...
As I have to keep my mouth shut at work, by default I am allowed to get in sarcastic digs when I can... Especially on a WP forum....
