Microsoft band steps seem off...

I have been using my fitbit one for a while now. (about 3 years) and I snagged a band as soon as they were available. It seems silly, but I still use both since my whole family has fitbits. But there is a major discrepancy in the number of steps in a day between the two, around 1,000 steps. Has anyone else had this issue?

Daniel here has both and says they're basically in step.

Note that the app has a bug which allocates the steps to the wrong (previous?) day so make sure that isn't part of the issue.

This has just been a day to day thing. Though Microsoft health has been saying that I did steps before I had the band. But this was just from reading off of both screens from today.

I have had the same problems. The Band only seems to count about 75% of the steps my FitBit One counts. I called Microsoft and they suggested I use the "run" function (even if only walking) to try and get the Band to "learn" more about me. I am concerned that the steps are that far off. My sleep and calories burned are pretty consistent.
