Microsoft Lumia 540 Sad Face? How can I resolve it?

Hi! I just had an issue on my Microsoft Lumia 540, after I clicked on update and restart my phone started to had this issue called the sad face. My phone is stuck on the loop where all I can see is the Microsoft Logo, a Gear with a loading bar at the bottom and a sad face. I've already performed the hard reset but still no success. What will I do? I don't want to lose my files. I would really appreciate your feedback.

Try performing a soft reset by long pressing the volume down + power button till the phone vibrates and restarts. If the phone still continues to show the then you'll have to connect to a computer and restore the firmware using Windows Device Recovery Tool. You'll lose all your files on your phone (not the microSD card) and the software will be reverted back to factory stock. If you're on WM10 you'll have to redownload it again.
