Microsoft Store Orders

I just received my black surface pen I ordered with my surface 3. Sucks I won't have the surface delivered until Wednesday lol

I had a Surface 3, Type Cover, and Surface Pen pre-ordered at the Microsoft Store after being told that they would price match the $699 Costco bundle when I made my reservation. Went to pick it up today and no dice, wouldn't honor what I was told when I placed my reservation. I understand that it is a bundle deal, but I still don't see why Microsoft can't match a 3rd party distributor. I didn't get upset, but I left disappointed. I'm scheduled to go out to do field work the rest of the week, I was ready to put the Surface 3 through its paces. I hope my Vivotab 11.6 holds together a while longer.

I came back to the office and am a little unsure what to do. Our office has a Costco membership, so I could order a bundle from there, but after my experience today, I'm not even sure if I want a Surface 3 anymore. I might just bide my time and see how the first batch works out. By then, there should be a Surface Pro 4 or even the iPad Pro available.

I assume you have no Costco nearby? You have a Best Buy nearby? They would probably match it. Staples sell it. Try them. Don't quit so easy.

Received my Surface 3, pen, and type cover this afternoon by overnight shipment. Haven't had a chance to do more than unbox it as yet. I 'm glad I chose the dark blue cover and pen.
