I can't decide which is better for me, I like the total at tracking and interface of MHF but the only reason I also use Runtastic is its ability to track elevation changes since I run in the foothills here in Boise, does it really factor in my elevation change in its calculation or is that just novelty information?

Anyone have any other recommendations I can try?

I also bike to the foothills so I would like to opportunity to switch the activity type in the tracking with out having to stop and start it as a new activity

I'm using endomondo. In the newest version you can see min/max elevation and climb changes. When you open endomondo website on your PC, and log in, you can see much more details about your workouts.
If you don't like endomondo, you could use Adidas micoach, it's very similar to endomondo and micoach.
