Miracast and not Continuum

Hi
Is there a way for my Lumia 950 XL to connect to my Dispaly Adapter using just Miracast? It's great that it works with Continuum but sometimes I just want to mirror my little screen to the big screen. Anyone know if or how?

yes, fire up continuum and at the "touchpad" screen, tap on the "..." (upper right side) and select "Display settings".
select "Connected Display" in the drop down box and then "advanced settings" at the very bottom (you may have to swipe down on the screen)
there you'll see "Mirror what's on my screen" select that and your set.
