Mobile Edge favorites not restored after rest

Phone back ups on windows mobile are really hit or miss. None of my Edge favorites have reappeared and there is no backup of them on my desktop. Very frustrating. Also, how come backups do not restore the start screen tiles that we have spent days customizing?

Afaik, there's no way to "backup" Edge's favorites. You can only "sync" them between devices. If you turn on favourites synchronization in Edge on both mobile and PC then the favourites you create on both the devices will be synced. Hence, if you delete your favourites from Edge on PC, they'll be deleted on your phone too.

To not lose your favourites in future, do this. After creating favourites on your mobile (or PC), turn on synchronization in Edge's settings on both mobile and PC, let the favourites sync and then turn off the synchronization. So, the next time you hard reset your phone, you can easily get all of your favorites back by simply turning on synchronization again.

Thanks - I have had syncing on all of the devices I have. Just reset my phone and no favorites are showing up in Edge on it.

How long has it been since you reset your phone? Because, it usually takes a day or two to sync the favourites, reading list items, etc. Also try switching on your PC at least once with active internet connection and open Edge.
