Muffled Calls after 8.1 update

I had updated my phone to 8.1 on the day it was available and as much as I love it I did notice that while the other person could here me clear I could not hear the other person despite the connectivity bar being full but before 8.1 the calls did sound clear so I am assuming that nokia cyan update you optimize the volume of the ear piece so did any of you encounter this issue.
