Music App Seriously broken

..although it might be zune.net thats the issue

no related artists on either phone or the www . zune . net from a browser - look at an artist on my phone - hit the marketplace button - nothing happens - does not connect to marketplace

I'll have to check that marketplace issue, but its not untypical icmp requests getting dropped in some networks. So your trace would look exactly like yours, even if everything is completely fine.

edit: I have seriously no clue how to search for marketplace offers by the artists on my phone. Specific searches seem perfectly fine though.

yup .. not sure if it's my phone at this point, or a marketplace issue, but i've lost the ability to display artist bio's on my phone and also the related artists tab on the music app

marketplace is hit or miss.. some artists it pulls up more music by that artist on the phone (checked for Taylor Swift) - but then if I try to repeat the process for Radiohead, then there is apparently nothing in the marketplace by them except for the two albums i already have on my phone

this BETTER not be a phone reload .. I am not going to deal with having to re-install all my apps again very well

I'm having the same problem. My phone won't pull music from the marketplace on Smart DJ mixes anymore, just from the local phone storage. After reading your post, I've noticed that the Bio and Related are missing too. I rarely use the Zune Desktop software, but checked that as well, and the Bio and Related tables appear to be missing there as well. I hope they get this fixed soon, smart DJ mixes are the main reason I pay for the zune pass.

I just worry that as they're transitioning over to the new Microsoft Music this has fallen by the wayside - which means that zune might have lost this ability for good - which in turn impacts WP7 - I sure hope they thought this one through ..

I wonder why Microsoft has said nothing about this issue. It wouldn't have hurt to announce "we'll be bringing our Xbox Music to WP 7.8, so expect some minor issues over the next few months as we transition over to the new platform".
