my dad wants to buy a new phone

hi, my dad owns a three year old 1520. the screen has started giving him problems. the guys at the repair shop have asked him to pay up 16000/- INR, and also suggested that he buys a new phone. he doesn't want a super expensive phone this time around. should he opt for the lumia 640xl or the lumia 650?

I suggest the 640xl since the screen is almost the same size so he won't have to adjust too much
