My girlfriends phone wont text me because it says invalid number, how do we fix this?

my girlfriends phone wont text me because it says invalid number how do we fix this

We've tried restarting it but it still won't work. So every time she tries to text me her phone says invalid number every once in a while it will get a text through but then it stops working again please help she has a Nokia windows smart phone

Haven't seen this before... have you contacted your service provider?

Try putting your country code in front. Or take it away. Make sure you change the contact. So if USA add or subtract a 1.

Apparently it's only on AT&T

@attcares got back to me on twitter and told me to delete the messages thread that started having the issue. That did fix it!
