How do I claim my free adapter on my Xbox One

you need to have registered the old XBOX, the kinect and the new Xbox (on your devices in your Microsoft account).

Note the serial numbers of all above, and call Microsoft Support.
They will send you the Kinect adapter for PC (it will take a week to arrive) for free.

Is it right that you lose some functionality of the Kinect when using it with the One S? I thought I read something somewhere but can't find the article now...
