This totally sucks. I bought a used AT&T Lumia 920 off of eBay cheap.
Thought id play with it on wifi. Really wanted to see how id like Windows 8.1.
Ran ##7820# and it showed unlocked.
So I spent the last few days setting it up the way I wanted it.

I was planning on using Cricket wireless.
A hunch told me to check it once more and now it shows locked.
I was getting ready to order a sim card from Cricket. Now I'm not sure what to do.

Crickets website says you need an unlocked phone.
I thought a locked AT&T phone would work on Cricket.
Does any forum members no for sure.

I'm assuming the phone is locked. The listing didn't mention it being unlocked.
I just put in an unlock request thru the AT&T website.
I am a past AT&T customer, so we will see what happens.

It should work on Cricket even if it is still locked to AT&T. Cricket uses AT&T's network. It's actually owned by AT&T.

I agree it should, but the Cricket wireless website says, to bring your own phone it has to be unlocked.

Typing this on Cricket with an ATT locked 920. That unlocking thing is an iPhone rule.

Maybe Cricket says that to make sure they're covered. Also maybe there was confusion with the iPhone being different.
