My phone has been on spinning cogs/wheels for nearly 6 hours, how do I move past this?

Spinning cogs/wheels for nearly 6 hours

Please help I have these spinning cogs for nearly 6 hours since I pressed install and it is not letting me turn my phone on even when I have done the reset using the side buttons or even taken the battery out.

Has my phone completely broken?????

Here's one thing you can try - FAQ - My Lumia stays at the spinning gears - Microsoft - UK

If that doesn't work you'll have to use this - FAQ - How can I recover/reset/restore my phone software? - Microsoft - UK

If you didn't backup your phone prior to this you'll probably regret it.

And if you have an SD card in your phone get it out.
