My phones battery lasts for 3 hours only. How to improve it?

Thanks. So, according to GSM Arena, the battery lasts for only 3 hours 50 minutes, when it comes to browsing (they must be using WiFi). In my case, it lasts for around 3 hours 30 minutes. I'm over 3G. So is it normal ??

mine last for 3.++hours too. I think it's normal when you browse constantly over 3G.

I switched to 2G and tested it for a few days. Battery Backup obviously seems to be slightly better. But as i said, only slightly. Not much difference. I have a question - How can i change 'Mail Sync' setting to manually ??

You mentioned skype.

Apps like skype and whatsapp eat at your battery. At one point, skype was draining my battery faster than the charger could charge it.

And honestly, I can kill the battery on my 920 in 4 hours if I use it constantly. The best way to know if your battery is good is to NOT use the phone and see how long it lasts.

It's hard, i know but you need to monitor your discharge rate and percentage. You can do this while you go to sleep. Restart the phone when it is @ 100% (to kill whatever may be lingering in the background) and when it comes back on, don't use it and go to sleep.

Leave it on 2g for best results.
