Need a replacement phone

I live in the UK and I'm halfway through my 2 year contract on Orange (EE).
I had a Lumia 920, and I dropped it, smashing the screen. I tried to replace the glass and digitizer, but I think in the process I damaged the LCD.
I don't want to go through the process of buying an LCD just to risk me messing things up again so my question is this;
What should I get to replace my 920?
I like the 1020, and I could afford to buy it off contract for the awesome camera, but I wish it had the faster chip of the 1520.
The 1520 seems a bit big for me, and it doesn't have the 41MP camera of the 1020, which would be one of the reasons I'd have for buying a new phone before my contract is up.
I looked at the 620, which seems to be about ?150, as I also have a Surface Pro 2 so I could just tether the internet and do most things on that, until my contract is up, but a new 920 is only ?230 which isn't *that* much more considering the difference in specs especially the camera.
I'm in two minds about the whole thing so I thought I'd turn to the WP Central community for advice :-)

If it were me, I'd go with the super affordable 520 and wait it out until the new WP8.1 phones come out in early 2014.

If I was in that situation I think I should buy a cheap phone, for example the 620, and wait for a international equivalent to the 929 :smile:

I'd probably go with the 1520. From my understanding the, quality should be exactly the same as the 1020 (5mp oversampling/ digital zoom except past +1). So it would seem the only thing that the 1520 is missing from the 1020 is the extra zoom.

The zoom is the killer thing about the 1020, I've toyed with it, and love the ability to reframe a photo.
The 520 would be good, but the camera has no flash, so perhaps a 620 is the one for me.
Thanks for your suggestions guys!
