Need help with lock/power off button

my lumia 920's lock/power off button just decided to stop working, is there any apps like assertive touch(ios) that i can use to lock the phone, i don't want to waste money fixing it as i am playing on getting a 925 in March,

Not sure about an app but you could set your screen timeout to 30 seconds or so and then enable double tap to wake.

thanks, really wished there was a way to lock the phone and also is there any other way to switch the phone off?

is the warranty over?
1. no- u gotta pay nothing
2. yes- get it fixed from some local shop for cheap
and also, buying a 925 this late? might as well wait a few more months for some awesome wp8.1 phone with more hardware features (not specs-wise)
and to answer the main question (excuse me for taking so long), there is no assertive touch app on WP so far..

i can't afford the new ones that will be coming out.....AND the 925 will be used so not really wasting money tbh
