Finally broke down and bought one when it was on clearance. Can't resist a good deal like that. 
I ended up getting the large (last one left), which is quite oversized for me. Most times I'd need to use the heart monitor I'd be stationary, so that's not a big issue. If I need it for exercise or sleep, I just push it further up my arm and it's still able to read my heart rate without fuss. I doubt anyone else uses it this way, but I got it more for the watch functions than the other stuff.
Something I liked and I don't know if anyone noticed is that the LCD appears reflective in bright sunlight. Reminds me of the old palms. I don't have too much trouble reading it in watch mode when I'm outdoors.
The apps I've found are useful so far (well, some are downright silly), but any recommendations in particular? I found a music control but couldn't figure out how to use it. (Cortana seems to be the better bet for this.)
