I don't typically fall in love with an app but this new one is genius. It's the perfect way to organize your home screen live tiles. It add sections so you can quickly scroll down and find what you need - it's simple and elegant. I can't compliment it enough! (disclaimer: I have nothing to do with this app - I just happened to find it and think it's awesome and wanted to tell someone!).

Here is a video about it:

Let me know what you think.

I've seen this idea before in a couple of apps, while some may like it, i found it makes the scrolling on the home screen even longer. Big waste of live tile real estate. (IMO)

Thanks for sharing though :)

Hmmm, seems like it fixes one problem and creates another. Sure it organizes them but most of us already do that plus it just takes up more space on the start screen. Now the folder idea from homebrew is a simple solution that seems like it's onto something.

Yes, it does take away some real estate, BUT you can put a Live Tile right next to the heading, so you only lose one slot.

As mentioned above, you can set it to take only one LiveTile slot (putting another LiveTile right next to the heading).

And yes, I've seen the homebrew folder solution they are working on (and it is very cool) but I have no interest in jailbreaking my phone (or legal Chevron). I think this app is a great solution for people who don't want to get into that.

I also suggested to the developer that he add a "jump" feature, so you can jump to sections. Let's see what happens.

Hey, is there a group tile for the light theme? Pretty neat idea.

Nevermind, i went to the MS site and saw that it was. Downloading and giving it a go now.

Absolutly love it! Now I'm wishing MS would allow tiles be individual colors. It would be awesome if I could have an "app group" with green tiles, a "social group" with red tiles...

That would be similar to the page idea I had to handle long start screens. I doubt he could do anything without hacking though since that would involve changing the way the start screen worked (i.e., scrolling it to a category).

Does not group anything really. It looks like what this app does is create tiles with names instead of apps. So the people group he creates is just a tile on the home screen that says people. Then you start organizing your tiles under it. Then create another "group" and start adding tiles below the new group name.

Correct. You group your tiles manually. I had something similar installed before and it made my homescreen navigation easier. It's easier to locate a particular app by looking for the separate header tile. What I didn't like about the previous tile generator was that each tlie was created on a web page and maintained the link, accidentally tapping the generated tile would open the page on which it was created.

Simply does not work in Omnia W

I have a Samsung Omnia W, WP7.5, and I live in Brazil.

I installed the app, and it appears in the general list. However, when I click the icon, the application opens for a second and then automatically closes. I tried reinstalling several times but the problem persisted.
Is there any way to fix this? Thank you for your attention.

Good idea, but ...

That's certainly a good idea, but I am afraid that nothing will happen because nothing can possibly happen: The WP7 API's don't give apps any control over the start screen except a way to place tiles there themselves.
