Reset to factory settings didn't work for me to solve the problem.

After a day the system sound is back, strange...

can you please tell me,the os version,when i downgrade from windows10 to windwods8.1.
The OS version which came with the box had a good battery backup
later i got an os update(xxx.xxx.375)which makes a lot of battery drain.
but i want the old version which came with the box.....
will i get once i use recovery tool???????

Just to clarify, when you guys talk about double tapping the "Navigation Bar" you are talking about the three buttons displayed at the bottom of the screen, right?

That would explain why I don't have the settings option nor functionality on my Lumia 1020 which has physical buttons instead of onscreen ones.

That's right! This setting is only enabled for devices having Onscreen Navigation bar

The Recovery tool will show it to you, no idea how to select another version to install.

Everything seems to be working fine for me.
