I'm hoping someone on here can help me figure out what's wrong with my Lumia 521 (MetroPCS). My phone was at about 60% at the time I plugged it in, then suddenly my battery power was completely zapped, the phone turned off, & none of the chargers we have that did work before will work now. I know it's not the charger, because the chargers work just fine with other phones. Depending on which charger I plug in, the phone buzzes & Nokia comes up on the screen, but that's as far as it gets before starting all over again in an endless loop, or instead of looping it shows the Nokia screen & them the battery symbol comes up & starts flashing. At no point does it ever get to a point that the blue Windows or white Metro PCS screens ever show, or gets to a point that I can try to reset it. I don't know if the problem is the phone or the battery, but I do know the contacts are clean & the battery is not loose. The carrier refers me to the Nokia site & the Nokia site refers me back to the carrier, yet another endless loop. This is so frustrating, especially since I just bought the phone 3 months ago. Any help anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should be able to get it repaired by Nokia for free. PM me and I will walk you through the process.

I have also had this problem - setting the phone sown slightly harsh (dropping it less than an inch), tapping it on a desk, etc, it would just restart. It is the battery terminals that are the problem, or that they just didn't make the battery terminals to line up good enough. I have bent the 3 prongs in the phone very slightly to the right and down and no longer have this issue at all. just be gentle! I highly suggest what the others are posting, having Nokia fix it for you for free, but I have had this phone for about 2 years and its a backup. nokia terminals.jpg
