New Nokia Lumia 520 not detecting Micro SD Card

I had same problem, than I noticed that I had set password on my SD card from my previous S40 device.
I just removed the password and it solved the problem!

Is your phone not starting or what? Please describe your problem!

Yup it is not starting but starting when sd is not inderted please some tell me how time takes for first startup with sd card

It takes same time to startup with or without the SD card. Isn't it starting at all or taking a lot of time?

I use pc with the "Rufus" software and format the SD card with the options: " Create a bootable disk using MS-Dos " then start. that's all!! Everythings is ok! you can use your sd card ! ;-)))) this link is the software :

Hello Everyone, I have a different issue with the SD card. I had given my phone to service centre for replacing the broken screen. After getting it back when i inserted the SD card to my phone. It is not updating the pictures to my albums and the songs to my music player. I am able to use the apps and play the games installed on the card. I have made back up of songs and pictures but i worry about downloading the games and apps once again. If i format the card i will loose all.Is there a way to get back the pictures and songs without formatting the SD card.
