New Temporary Style

Please post feedback. This is a temporary style I put together tonight, to hold us over between the time the new template goes live on the blog site and when the VB4 conversion occurs.

Okay remember you asked:

1) I'm not crazy about the pink and green. The green is okay but I would prefer a darker green. Why are we using the fuchsia for the WPCentral logo is that going to be a permanent change>

2) Drop down menus are not in line with their header.

3) The words and the circles are not aligned in the drop down menus where they appear. This has been like this for a long time.

4) the back drop has the squares in it I like that but why does this effect only go about half way down the page?

5) Some links in the header are broken.

That's all I have right now. I will play around with this more and see if I can find anything else.

I don't know a lot about aesthetics, but as Dave mentioned, the fuchsia and the green seem to clash. My wife is French, and is into art, and she said the fuchsia would be ok if the green was darker.

Plus the alignment issue Dave mentioned.

Hey Guys, Thanks for the feedback.

The colors aren't changing for launch. Dan likes them... they're bright and happy, so we're going live with this. When it launches, be sure to love them.

But here's the plan... we went through a few different color combinations leading up to picking one for launch. There's a few different themes that look good. What we're going to do in the near future is allow you to pick a different color theme... for blogs and forums. So it'll be like Windows Phone.. customize it yourself. So in the meantime, live with this.

And as Marcus said... this is a temporary theme. We'll be following up with the VB4 upgrade soon. So we'll do a lot more tweaks with that.

So colors and design aside, keep looking for any bugs, etc. etc. Need to worry about function most right now.

Dave - gonna shoot you an email. Would be great to get on a skype call or google hangout asap. Lots of good stuff on the forums front to talk about.

Site wide issue not related to the skin. If I log out using the logout on the forum page I can't log back in from there. I have to go to the main blog page and log out from the Mobile Nations header then log back in.
