Hi all, having introduced myself in the intro thread I thought I'd ask my first question.

I just recieved my Lumia 925 and LOVE it! but thats another story :)

I will be handing my old Iphone to my GF, we are both using Gmail.

Question: We need one synced calender between these 2 phones. Do I:

A. Stay on Gmail and get the sync to work on both devices with our 2 Gmail accounts?
B. Switch to Outlook.com myself, while she stays on Gmail?
C. Take the hassle of converting both our emails to Outlook.com?

I am willing to talk her into C, but need some solid reasons :)

thanks

C is the best option for a few reasons:

1. Google looks at and records every letter you type into Gmail.
2. Gmail will NOT work reliably on WP.
3. Google as a company will screw you by redesigning, shutting down, and canceling services without notice. This has happened when google canceled WP's push capability for Gmail.
4. Outlook allows you to use ONE account for all of your services such as Skype, email, the app store, office, SkyDrive, etc.
5. Windows should sync everything if you go all in with their services. (Don't use calendar sync so I'm not sure)... I know this works windows to windows, not sure otherwise

B. I prefer not to force anyone to switch unless they are comfortable. Maybe if she likes Outlook(you both could explore it with dummy accounts) and outlook app/some other mail app that connects to outlook on iOS and is not tied into the google thing too much C can be an option.

I've never been able autosync calendars maintaining complete accuracy. I'm not saying that it can't be done only that I haven't been able to.
