For anyone that got the latest MS update for the 1520, 930, and a few other models (it was a headline on wpcentral main page a few days ago) , has anyone else noted the battery usage is higher, thus draining the battery faster? I have an app called Battery that shows you a graph of battery usage over a length of time, and since the update I have noted that without any unusual usage my graph is starting to show higher battery usage starting on that day... wondering if anyone else noted this. And yes I have restarted the phone to kill any apps that may have been stuck (not likely).

Didn't notice any significant change in my L1020. The % charge is almost the same through my sleeping hours.

I've uninstalled all of my battery tracking apps (I noticed they cause more battery drain than help me save power).

Would you have a screenshot of such a change in battery consumption?

Are you using any MSN application as a live tile ?
If yes remove it. Since the update of these applications ( in June 10th) they start to use more battery when in live tile.

I removed news, sports and weather live tiles and my battery usage went to normal.

Have you tried removing all these apps before they were updated and compare the battery performance back then with the current battery performance (still with those apps removed)?

I accualy can see the difference.
I didn't change the pattern of using the 1520 but my battery is draining more then before.
I'm thinking about hard reset, as last rescort.

Nope, the apps are still installed, just the live tiles were removed.

I'll rephrase: Have you tried unpinning those apps before the update and compared the battery performance back then with the current battery performance with the current version of the apps installed but still unpinned? We'll have a more definitive finding if such information exists.

No, I have not.
