no 3G connection

im from Malawi (south east Africa) and own an HD7s. but im unable to connect to 3G, im using a Bharti Airtel SIM, but it only connects on EDGE. ive tried using another 3G network but it still connects to EDGE, and when i use my SIM on another phone it connects to 3G. please help.

goto settings then cellular and make sure you have "highest connections speed" set to 3G and not E. If this does not work get the HTC connection set up App from the marketplace and run that.

well the "highest connection speed" option is not there. and i have tried the connection setup app, but no difference. And its proving hard to use my internet on an EDGE connection.

The HTC site shows these frequencies for 3G: HSDPA 850 / 1900 What frequency does your carrier use for 3G?
