No double tap to wake??

I bought my wife a 635 yesterday and I'm pretty impressed with it for the price. However, one thing that I noticed right away is that it doesn't seem to have the option to awaken it with a double tap. I googled it and found some post saying it was being added with a update to Black, but this phone has Cyan. Is there a setting hiding that I can't find?

Did you check under the settings -> touch? It shows up as an option to turn on with my L920 and L520, hopefully yours has it

Nope, not there. I have a 1520 so I looked there first. It just seems odd it would have it in one firmware (Black) but not in the succeeding one (Cyan).

The 635 doesn't have tap to wake. One of the trade offs on this phone for the price.
Well, L520 is a budget phone and has it. The thing is that 630 and 635 don't have a proximity sensor, which means that the touch sensor can't be turned off reliably when in pocket or the like - hence no tap to wake.

Thanks for the replies. The wife is used to the power button now so no problem. BTW, the double-tap on my 1520 is more like double-rap. I have to tap pretty hard for it to work...but that's for a different forum. :-)

I was disappointed it didnt have it either considering the weird placement of the power button and responsiveness of it IMO.

Only minor gripe though for me.
