Well, the N1 isn't really a handset, so I guess theres that technicality...

That's a bad news for nokia fans.

It's old news for most. I think their acquisitions have made it pretty clear the direction they are moving. The N1 seems like a limited excitement in licensing. They might still license tech or ever their brand, but I don't see them returning to manufacturing or even being lead design in the foreseeable future.
