Nokia Lumia 525 digitizer broken!!

My Lumia 525 screen broke today. The IPS LCD panel is working fine but the digitizer in broken. It has just been 2 months. How much will it cost to repair in India. And can I get it replaced with Gorilla Glass? Please help!! I

I don't know since I'm not in India, but it probably won't be cheap if you get official Nokia service.
You can attempt a DIY repair only if you're comfortable enough and properly equipped.

You can't get it replaced with Gorilla Glass, it'll be best to get a genuine original part. Also Gorilla glass is meant to be scratch resistant, not as much shatter resistant.

Also know that in this case, the 525 and 520 are identical.

Hey, I am the OP. I got it fixed in Nokia Care for INR 2880 (USD 47.65). within half an hour. Also, can you tell me about any case or cover or anything which will keep my phone safe from now on? And, what is the callmate bumper cover?

The lcd is Rs. 2500/- or so in India. Digitiser will be much cheaper. And yes the parts for 520 and 525 are readily available on most of the centres.

No you cant get it replaced with any other glass. Only the standard glass which comes with the phone will be fixed on your device.

by my US standards, that sounds like a great price.
well, there are lots of cases for the 520/525's (just don't get one for the 521 as its physically taller)
I think Amzer makes some nice rugged ones IIRC.

the bumper cover looks to be a case that wraps around the device, not completely covering the back, similarly to the famous iPhone's bumper.
