update for 0001 lumia 620 now available. i just finished update. first you will get upgraded to 0002 OTA then after couple of restarts, just check update again you will get notified for lumia amber update...download and follow instructions.. i am from guwahati and my handset working fine.. cheers!

Finally....got .0002 update yesterday night and right now downloading the amber update......

i got the update last night....1st update is 001 to 002 by OTA, which take 15MB data, after restarting 10 minuts i got amber update which said to connect a wifi network for update...completing this process took 25 minuts...now phone running AMBER...i am from jharkhand

got .002 via OTA took 10mins.. after that instantly got Amber GDR2 package in another update took about 30-40 mins.. the wait was worth it rather than using NSU, losing data and playing with ur phone.. anyways its not that a major update like gdr3 and 8.1.. my 820 had got gdr2 2 months ago on Aug 19th

and btw using NSU u lose warranty Nokia said.. there is a flash counter in the phone where it shows if u have flashed manually.. when you flash from Nokia Care Centre, they include the flash counter detail in ur device info and so warranty remains intact.. however flashing manually makes u lose warranty Nokia knows yoy have flashes..
So finally those who went to Nokia Care, they took a better decision of just losing the data nd not warranty..
I know those who flashed from NSU wont be ready to believe this and will write comments against for their own satisfaction..

Nokia care flashed my firmware and I installed GDR3 in my Nokia Lmia 620. Nokia websites shows warranty status as YES and Nokia Care told me that my phone still in the WARRANTY PERIOD...............

Hi Guyz ! I am also a Lumia 620 user from India and i have read this whole forum as i was also not able to update my phone to Amber. Now i want tell you how i \updated my phone to Amber. Whenever i checked for updates it showed that my device was up to date. I also contacted Nokia Care via Twitter. But didn't get any relevant answers. One day i was looking for updates and the same thing happened. In anger i did it again and again and it showed that an update was available. It was about 18MB in size as it was .002 firmware. After Update was installed it showed me another Update available. It was a big one. So i connected to Wi-fi and downloaded it. It was around 250 MB only. And i installed and and It was Amber Update. So keep trying again and again to get the update. Remember if you are on .001 firmware you have to update first to .002 and then to Amber.

Hi its a long thread and i just see it now,,,, guys still i dont get gdr2 update... And even my firmware version is ******.001 ... I am from kerala and am using idea network... If anyone from kerala updated to gdr2 just reply me... Thanks guys....

I have got GDR2.. Find some stable connection and try the update in settings.
Best try is 3G or WiFi. Wait for the update page to respond..

Actually there are three ways to update to GDR3. The last one mentioned in the below can be done easily...

the last choice is Nokia Care centre..
Nokia Mobile Phone Store Locator - Nokia - India
search for your city or Kerala to find the stores. if you change it to Care center you could find the service stations. Hope you get it right soon..
