Nokia Lumia 620 AMBER Update India released Now

Some info about the upcoming update for all you guys asking again and again.

> It doesn't matter what your location is or which network you are using, because the update is related to your phone config ID. [So stop telling from where you are and which connection you use].

And also flashing your phone can void your warranty.

That 'Tell me when updates are available for my phone' option searches for an update just once in a week. Everyone here is desperate for it. So if the update becomes available in the meantime, you won't get to know about it unless you are looking for it constantly.

No. "Other Storage" problem not fixed in GDR2/Amber update. Still I have the issue on my phone with Amber/GDR2 update.

Hard reset the phone after receiving Amber/GDR2...and restore your phone... I also had the same problem 3 GB other before Amber n there was no change in that even after Amber...But now my Other is not going above 487MB even auto upload is On for images and I have installed Asphalt 7 and six guns(In GDR1 when I installed asphalt 7 my other storage had added nearly 800MBs in it)...

I too have six guns installed and my other stands at 2.59Gb If what you are saying that it doesn't go beyond 487Mb than it's a great sign, we would be able to install many high storage games. Including those for 1Gb RAM phnes on our L620.
I'm yet to receive Amber though.

Thanks for your inputs. Instead of hard resetting my L620, I just uninstalled six guns game and restarted the phone. Re-installed six guns and I see only 535 MB in "Other" compared to more than 2 GB earlier.

The Amber update is rolling out to more and more devices - you can see here that the update for the 720 is rolling out imminently - so the update for the 620 should be really soon for you. Of course it all depends on your carrier. I am afraid ur a bit wrong there atleast as far as Indias case. All handsets sold in India are unlocked and they have the same default carrier config and the updates dont depend on carriers because of that.

Which menu you are talking about? The menu that says "Availability in Europe", "Availability in Africa" etc.?

In that case "Availability in Asia Pacific" shows in India it's available.and it shows Country Variant instead of some Operator.

Before trying the "Hard Reset" method for other storage problem (which has supposedly been fixed with GDR 2) try out the app "Storage Cleaner". It's made for cleaning temp files and freeing up space.

I'm not saying that it would surely solve the problem, but you can give it a try. Some review say that it doesn't do anything, but on trying it seemed to work for my device.

Because this morning there was some updates installed and after that it shows the above screen. I am not checking manually since I checked the option "Tell me when the updates are available for my phone"

You don't have to remember. Just go to settings, then extras+info. There tap the more info option and you will be able to see your config id.

my config id is 249100 and current version id is 3046.0000.1329.10263
