I pinged @NokiaPureView yesterday just digging for info. I asked if there was a MicroSD slot in the upcoming Lumia 928 for Verizon and here is the reply.

And it appears from them, it does. I subbmited this as a news tip yesterday but, I guess WPCentral does not see this as important news. I think this is great news, FINALLY a high end WP8 device WITH expandable memory.

Anyone want to to buy a Minty HTC 8x ? :)

Edit: I also asked about release date, April and got some interesting info and maybe newer processor.

I never understood why the 920 didn't have a microSD slot....

Same here, infact, there is NO first gen Higher end Windows Phone 8 device with a MicroSD slot besides the ATIV S that was never and wont be released in the US. We know where Samsung stands on Windows Phone now.

The HTC 8X is a nice phone (I currently have) but, it's not a high end with only 16gb. If it had a MicroSD or even 32gb, I would not be looking to replace it after 2 months. The limits are just too much.

After dealing with SD card on my Samsung Epic, slow refresh slow app loads, slow boot while it tries to read it, i'll take a 32 gb phone with no sd card. I only have 6 or so GB of music that I travel with, so that is more than enough for pics, loading a movie or two for the kids now and then and applications. I know why the OEMs are not having them, so the speed is there at all times from the faster onboard flash memory.
I hope it is 32 PLUS SD card.. then I would only have to use the SD card for movies and such, it would also be easier to move the media to it from a PC/laptop

Agreed, 32gb WITH a MicroSD slot would be perfect. I really want an SD card to hold Music, Movies/videos and podcasts. With 16gb on my 8X, I have to select what PAID apps I have installed because I have no room left and that is with podcasts but, No music or videos.

Maybe it's me but, if I pay for an app, I should be able to have it installed at all times INCASE I want to play it. No ?

Did some digging. Looked up the account. It doesn't look like it is an official Nokia account. So this information can't be fully trusted.

As I understand, it is a Nokia press site, owned by Nokia who is leaking info about Nokia items...That is why I posted it. I could be wrong but, maybe someone can 100% confirm...

http://thisisnokia.wordpress.com/

From the site....
Nokia Lumia 928 reportedly comes with All new design, and aluminum body, with laminated curved glass, thinner than Lumia 920 (10.7mm vs 10.2mm) its lighter than Lumia 920 (185 grams vs 160 grams?) The new Lumia928 reportedly with better processor and cameras,Nokia Lumia 928 to announced this march maybe, and start selling at april alongside ugliest smartphone samsung galaxy s4,run on latest wp8 software and will be priced around $99-199 with contract and depends on storage,it also comes with micro sd card
Also with new Nokia services
We are getting closer to the announcements date!,get ready !!!

If this info is correct, $99 -16gb and $199 for 32gb ? AND MicroSD ?

This is "just some guy on the internet" with a mixed track record of leaks and info.

Nothing to see here folks, move along. There is nothing official. It is NOT a "Nokia press site, owned by Nokia who is leaking info about Nokia items". That's not how this industry works.

They have a site that is so poorly written, it makes WMPU look like Shakespeare. http://thisisnokia.wordpress.com/ They just throw ever single rumor (often uncredited) on to the wall and see what sticks. Complete nonsense.

(Note, I'm not denying that a microSD slot may be on the device but it is not confirmed yet, even by people I know who have seen it--since it has reportedly 32GB of memory, some say it won't)

Oh, well.... :(

Sorry everyone who read it and got their hopes up... I hope it's all true though...

Thanks for comfirming Daniel...

I can confirm that the guy from twitter is not from Nokia. I asked the same guy prior to the 920 being announced for AT&T if it would be coming to Verizon at the same time. The person replied and told me it was, but that did not happen. At least we know that Verizon is getting the 928 and the day time photos from it are better then the 920 day time photos based on what has been posted.

It will probably have the newer MSM8960T clocked at 1.5Ghz to 1.7Ghz with the Adreno 320 GPU. I don’t think it will be a quad-core CPU.

David....I can't wait for this phone to arrive at Verizon ! I am just off of contract with T-Mobile with an ailing Samsung Galaxy S 4G. I am also a NOK stockholder. I would love to pre-order a red 32 GB 928 and want to be quick on pre-ordering so that I don't have to wait to long to get my new phone. Any guess as to when Verizon will start taking pre-orders ? April 1st ?

I once bought into his info and found out quick that it was bogus. If this phone is coming out next month they have to announce it soon. Remember how much time we all had to crush the 822 before it actually came out only to find that it wasn't that bad!

I totally agree with that, I don't understand the need of an SD slot on a 32GB+ phone except to store porns.

I personally am chomping at the bit! Was looking and considering the new BB but the screen look is to much like the same old iPhone I have today. Love the living tiles and the Lumia camera is bomb!

Re: Nokia Lumia 928 has a MicroSD slot ! ! ! !! ! .....(from twitter)

Just give me a red Lumia 928 with 32gb and I will be happy for another two years with Verizon.
