Nokia Lumia Black Update Starts Rolling Out Today

I am fully agree with you, Lumia 920 is excellent phone (WP in general), useful for all purpose, for business (missing VPN and native RD but not big issue, hopefully it will come with WP 8.1), entertainment (games, Moli player, Plex player...) easy use of contact hub... but what would be nice, at least in case of 920, if it is 920 characterized as advance phone comparing with lower series of Lumia (especially with 820, my wife have it), would be nice to follow their bigger brother.

What are these AppFolders? I mean, i know what this is, but the ATT update didn't included this did it? I thought this is china only.

Whoa, I have Black on my 1020 but no folders. :S. Yes, AT&T.

It's an app available for all, it just got mixed in with all this excitement about BLACK.
Nothing to do with Black,
and you don't need BLACK, just download it and install it.

With this recent update, the first set of Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices that seem to have been dropped from support are:
810 - T-Mobile (North America-USA)
520 - 3 Italy (Europe-Italy)
720 - Wind (Europe-Italy)
720T - CMCC (Asia Pacific-China)
925T - CMCC (Asia Pacific-China)

I went through the Lumia Black availability pages and these are the phones that show "Not Available" for Lumia Black.

So it begins, devices are now being left behind...

No it's not not anything. Nokia tweets said NOT AVAILABLE generally means the carrier has decided not to include that phone in the distribution.
They (carriers) have 3 options, Not available, waiting for approval and Available and NOKIA lists it as such per the information provided by the carrier.
Can the carrier change their mind ? sure, but that is relevant information and not based on a "lack of information" it's what they give Nokia.

They (carriers) have 3 options, Not available, waiting for approval and Available and NOKIA lists it as such per the information provided by the carrier.

Let's say someone tells you everyone gets candy. He gives them to some, then tells others to wait for their turn. You then ask "Where's mine?" to which he replies "None for you!" Why would you still expect to receive candy? If he changes his mind, then that's great!

What IS known forsure is that it WILL be coming to all devices..eventually.

I think it's because they need to tweak the update to scale well with the bigger screen sizes like the 1320 and the 1520...

I wasn't aware of the update until I read it here in WP Central. I had to force download it via Sysapp Pusher. I mean, I should have received a notification for it, right? I am using L625.

Yes, you should have received a notification for that update, but it's a very recent update. I only received a notification on my store tile about that 'extras+info' last night, so you may have just needed to wait a little longer for it to have appeared. Unless you are not getting notified of any updates to any apps, I wouldn't be concerned about it.

Lumia black is only available for 925/1020 at the moment. So its normal that you don't get any update notification yet. There is a built-it update function on sysapp pusher.

For
Lumia 720 (WIND) and 520(3 Italy) it says Not available for Amber update and Waiting for approval for Black Update. So they will skip Amber update and go directly to Black. It is true for other 3 devices that is says Not available.
