How come you get mobile at such a low price? 99.99$ is almost 6100rupees in India. Here i got my 620 for 13200rupees that will be around 218$.

Because we pay a ridiculous amount on the contract price. When all is said and done, you end up paying less than us over a two year period.

For Smartphones it's $35/month on top of whatever services you want. I personally pay about $60/month for having the phone on the network + the minutes/data plan. And that does not include the phone that I purchased from Verizon at a subsidized rate.

the icon would cost 500 to buy unlocked.. its 99 with a 2 year contract. Thus if you break the contract, you have to pay $350.. so i dont recommend that your dad buys it, sorry

$50 for an Icon is a great deal. And I thought I got great deal with in early March for $140. I did, however, get the $100 billing credit from Verizon. I wonder if they're still offering that as well.
