Nokia trash-talking about HTC's launch

That will be more like Ken Griffing Jr making fun of Micheal Jordan for his baseball skills. We all know Samsung Jordan is doing at lot better than Nokia Jr.

No.

You act as if Nokia is some little noname company. It wasn't that long ago that they dominated the industry. For most of the world, they still have the clout, connections, reputation, and customer loyalty that most companies can only dream of.

Sure, Samsung is the premier player right now. But Nokia is no slouch. And when it comes to WP, Nokia is fully committed to winning.

Will Samsung be able to extend their dominance in Android to WP? Possible. But Nokia is the clear WP leader so far.

Nokia is totally committed to Windows Phone. If they want to poke fun at the competition (after delivering something superior), I'm all for it. It's just a bit of fun, whilst reminding these Android OEM's that Windows Phone won't just take any old re-shelled device you throw at it.

I would hardly call them re-shelled. In fact, there are probably more differences from the GS3 - the Ativ S than there is from the N9 to the Lumia 800.

Now that you've said this, I've wondered, if Nokia didn't jump on WP, what would have happened? Would HTC and Samsung not have even bothered and just put out an exact Galaxy and One X clone?

I honestly think that they were both going to but I think Microsoft pushed them both to not do so with some kind of incentive. With HTC it is obviously a free marketing campaign. With Samsung? Who knows. But if I were a gambling man I would probably say a discount on Windows RT, Windows 8 pro, and Windows Phone 8 licenses.

In my metaphor.

Baseball = Windows Phone
Basketball = Android.

Sure Ken Griffing is better than Jordan in Baseball, but Jordan is still the top dog in their sport. You did say it, Nokia Dominated, in past tense.

Who the heck is Ken Griffing? First time I thought it was just a typo. But second time...

And aren't we talking about Windows Phone here? Nobody has claimed that Nokia will sell more smartphones in total than Samsung.

In the WP ecosystem, Nokia is in the lead and Samsung is a very worthy competitor.

On a lighter and somewhat unrelated note, I don't mind Nokia trash talking at all. There was a Microsoft big wig that tweeted something hate worthy though. I forgot who he was but it happened after Samsung got unfairly slaughtered by the most ******** jury I have ever seen in my life. Some Microsoft hot shot tweeted a laugh and said Windows Phone 8 is looking mighty good right now. That is just disgusting and I hope Balmer ripped into him for doing that.

One of your biggest partners that drive Windows, not just Windows Phone but the actual bread and water OS, and some of your memory and possibly displays, and you go out and tweet that?! Disgusting.

Okay rant over. Carry on the unwarranted Nokia bashing.
