So what exactly should Nokia be criticized for, fairly? Problem is ever since Nokia showed up so many HTC and Samsung fans have been taking potshots at them, when in reality they single-handedly propped up the entire platform with the Lumia 900 and 800. Another post here actually produced a graph to show how Nokia's 920 sales will be lower than HTC's. Why all the hate?
The obvious truth is that people are envious because they could not get those devices on their carriers and they also got more attention than their preferred brands so now that HTC has some good phones to compete with Nokia is basically "crap" and people are just chomping at the bit to find something to criticize them for. All we've seen is how HUGE, HEAVY and BRICK-like the 920 is. All the other innovations they packed into the 920 and 820 count for nothing now and its time to take Nokia down a peg.
Personally, I think the HTC devices look great and I know they will do well. I would also love to see the 920 on more carriers worldwide but there are reasons we dont know about that indicate that might not happen. I think though that we can safely say its not due to Nokia wanting to keep it exclusive to one carrier just for exclusivity's sake, there are likely financial reasons at play here. Nevetheless, its time to just sit back and enjoy what you can get, if you are OK switching carriers to get it fine, if not just enjoy what is available to you and leave the multi-billion corporations to fight amongst themselves.
