Office mobile on windows 10 mobile and editing

After upgrading to 10586 build from 10572 with no hard reset, word asked me again to sign in but with an office 365 account.

It mentioned you can only edit documents on mobile if you have an office 365 account. Is this a bug or actual policy?

I haven't office 365 subscription but i still can edit the existing document or create new document

I had the same issue.i uninstalled the office apps and reinstalled from store.that worked

doesn't work for me either. Might come back in an update
