Official 8.1.1 Update - fix display issue?

I see that too and I'm glad I'm not crazy (too see it).
In another forum someone sad i'ts just a fault-finding.
I think not, I just one a phone with a simple good quality (like my older flagships: 820, 920, 1020).
Maybe I'm not the only one.

After updating the firmware still have a problem with purple on automatic backlight. I do not know what you already do. No PFD.

I've checked the screen of 4 Lumia 930 and all had the same issue: a purple area on the sides. When you say purple tint is like a tonality on the entire screen or the blotch I've spoke of?

Updated a few days ago. I was surprised to see the screen go green this time... and I remembered I had it all the way to green to remove the purple tint. Set it to the center and the screen looks awesome now. I have a 1020 here too, and both screens looks the same now.

So 8.1.1 did fix it for me. No Dev Preview here. Just normal phone update.

Still waiting for the update on my unbranded AU 930 with developer preview box unticked

Still nothing with mine. 8.1.1 DP, unticked box, was told I didn't need to, re ticked box, got some update (can't recall what it was now, but not latest firmware), unticked again when I read more, no further updates. Purple isn't that bad and only when brightness drops (set to auto). When it gets bright it seems fine. Firmware is 14252.51003, OS 14176.243.

Did you guys notice that after Update 1 the white text on a black background (applist, settings, etc.) 'breaks' while scrolling? It seems like the text has some lag while switching between the start screen and app list, and while scrolling up and down.

Yes, noticed that. It's kinda annoying, I switched to white background because of this.
The text breaks only in the app menu list, not in other apps from what I've noticed, so this must be a fw issue. Maybe Lumia Denim will fix this?

Hope so. What do you guys think is the best colour profile? I had 'cold' before the 8.1.1 update, but then after the update everything looked so different that I can't decide anymore

Do you guys having this purple hue fixed by recent update? I do have the latest wp 8.1 update 1 (version: 8.10.14157.200) & still suffering from this annoying hue. disabling automatic brightness fix it though.
Also, my display colors (like blue, green) getting changed by time. Anyone facing something similar?

For me the DP to 8.1.1 didn't change anything (also having the hue shifting at grey colors), but I noticed something else weird btw.
I got WP 8.1 witch cyan out of the box and got an update to 8.1.1 right away. I did read on the forums that other people were experiencing a color degration after the 8.1.1 update. After the update nothing changed (i thought, but after a closer look the colors were a bit worse than before), and after the DP no changes were noticed. But after restoring to the official cyan firmware trough Lumia Software Recovery Tool, I noticed the colors of my screen were far more vibrant again than before! After updating to 8.1.1 it happened again, but after restarting the Phone my colors were back to AWESOME. Still the hue shifting problem though...
