To me, it is like people you blame refs for games. 99% of the time, if the team would have done their job in 50 other plays, it wouldn't have mattered. How about this: If a defense held the other team scoreless until the last minute and lost 0-7, would you say the defense was the reason they lost? Of course not.

Especially if that 7 came on a punt return.

No one is suggesting the defense be left off the hook for not showing up (for either team). With that in mind, you would think the offense would make sure to be more careful with the ball, not give Peyton another opportunity to score points.

Romo made one mistake. Otherwise, he was RIDICULOUSLY good. No quaterback should have to be 100% perfect just to barely win a game. You know what that means? The rest of the team sucked big time. Everyone on that team should be buying Romo dinner and apologizing for ruining his great performance. I watched the entire game, and anyone being realistic knows it wasn't Romo that lost that game.

It sort of reminds me of couple of years with Manning in Indy. He had to carry the entire team. Some games he would get blame for when it clearly was just about everyone else's fault besides him.

Stop looking at the game as if the 4th quarter is weighed heavier. 21 points in the first count just as much as 21 in the 4th.

As much as I like to laugh at Romo and his mistakes I can't blame him for the loss. If your QB throws 5 TDs, 500+ yards and only 1 pick and you still lose then it's not the QBs fault. Dallas hasn't had a good secondary ever since they had Roy Williams back there on safety.

At the same time I think Manning is going to have one of those seasons where he tears it up in the regular season but will fizzle in the playoffs. Teams with that bad of a defense don't usually make it too far.

Have to agree. Look at the '84 Dolphins, Marino tore the league up and set records that are just being broken in the last couple of years and couldn't seal the deal. Any Air Coryell teams will also fit the bill.

Remember they will be getting guys like Champ Bailey and Von Miller back later.

As I conceded in my last post, Romo isn't entirely to blame. But he has to shoulder some of it, no pun intended. He threw the pick.

And the bigger discussion involves Romo and his entire career. Its not like folks are reacting to this in a vacuum. His career has been marred by these occurrences at the wrong times.

Brett Favre's career won't be reduced to those late-career picks because at least he got a ring. Right now, Romo is a pre-1998 John Elway.

Indeed. Denver D is doing a good enough job without them, but you can clearly see rookie mistakes with the new guys that are trying to fill in for those two. Denver doesn't have a bad defense, just a mediocre defense without their top two defensive players. It's clear in the stats too, Denver hasn't put up nearly as many sacks this year without Miller than they had last year, and that's a big deal to this D.

With all that said, it was still a fun game to watch. I'm really excited to see them play KC, should be a great game as well.

A ton of good games this week- Indy/Seattle, Miami/Ravens,Falcons/Jets, Chiefs/Titans all great. Dallas/Denver was entertaining, but I like decent defense, so I won't call it "great".

Also, at least Jacksonville showed a pulse, and Bears/Saints had it's moments. But the Panthers, Lions, Pats, and Texans just laid down and showed no life.

So how about that monsoon during Tom Brady's attempted comeback drive. I thought it was hilarious how it stopped as soon as the pats offense was off the field.

With regards to the Bears, it was good to see Alshon Jeffery come up and have a big game. They didn't do too badly considering the offense they were up against, but would really like to see them elevate to the next level.

Tampa is sad. Just a mess. No reason for it. I am not a person who cheers for people to lose their jobs, but this team is falling apart quickly and with very little improvements. Ready for a coaching change.

Careful what you wish for. I haven't followed the Bucs much except what I read about Schiano so I have to ask, is he the play caller? Does he call the defenses? The reason I ask is based on what happened here with the 'Phins. Mike Nolan is as good a DC as there is but Tony Sparano overruled him at times. When Tony was mercifully fired and became the Jets OC, look what happened. Now, if the coordinators suck and can't game-plan properly, then that's where they have to look. I thought Joe Philbin was in over his head last year but Tannehill has shown a marked improvement this year with more weapons but the once-stellar defense has glaring holes.

If Schiano thinks he can treat grown men as he did in college, I have two words for him: Steve Spurrier. The players know what time it is and they need to address the situation with the GM. It seems to me that Josh Freeman wasn't the problem because he always looked pretty good against our defense.

My cardiologist will be very upset with me if he finds out I watched that entire Dolphins/Bengals game. That was a bahn burner.

Winning with a SAFETY... and in a game they had to have to stop a losing streak against a team that was becoming a trendy pick to get to 12-13 wins in the Bengals and after choking away a 14 point lead. Nice win for Miami.

Considering that Florida already has Tampa and Jax to endure, it is really important for Miami to do something good....

Atlanta and Houston is bad.... KC is great.... 2 teams are shooting for 0-16.... Detroit and Dallas can't decide who the heck they are as teams.... The Jets are saving Rex Ryans job.... The Giants are costing Tom Coughlin his.... The Colts are for real even if not quite all the way there yet...

I love football. This stuff is all over the place.

Anyone else besides me not understanding having THREE games in London next year?? I love them doing one and pushing the brand. But... THREE??

Try a couple other markets internationally. Barcelona, somewhere in Germany, heck- Mexico City would go nuts for a game.
