On my Lumia 535, WP8.1 why are the apps on my SD card not loading?

Ohhhh I'm sorry... I'm done with this phone... Two days before I have installed 2 new languages to phone after installing both (as you know, through the phone update) I restarted my phone again but the apps in memory card are gone... I have found some interesting points though...

1) Its not hardware trouble...
2) even if you uninstall those apps in your memory card its data will transfer into other memory... So my phone can't even completely remove the app...
3) even if you format (erase) your memory card, You cant download apps to your memory card.. It's only fixed by a hard reset..
4) it's looks like a software trouble so your class 10 sd won't help. And I think we can probably find a solution somehow...

Using lumia 535 with samsung class-10 32GB sd card. From yesterday onwards the application installed in SD card is not loading and I have uninstalled all the application from SD card and not able to installed the application again in SD card getting error 805a201d.

* Also recently reset the phone from settings.
* Phone update are up to date
* Windows account are already configured.
* Also not able to move the application from phone to memory card and memory card to phone.

Every time after the phone reset only I could load the music, photo and can installed the appication in SD Card.

We can’t reset the phone every time to install the application in SD card and before reset the phone we have to backup all our stuffs. For backup the Stuff Backup also not completing full it's got struck after completed 96% :smile:. totally I am pissed off with this mobile functionalities. :devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil::devil:

I've had some issues explained here on almost all of my Windows Phones that supported microSD cards. The only way I got them fixed was after a complete hard reset and format the microSD on a PC, I use the exFAT format. I've seen this happen after moving an application to the microSD followed by a reboot, this usually messes up the app and makes the phone unstable. Something tells me that the OS needs to reindex (or it's equivalent) the files on the microSD before its rebooted. I guess it's better to leave the apps installed on the phone for a while and then move the apps to the microSD. Reboot only after a few hours

I Think the problem isn't with the memory card or hardware... It might be with the OS I hote the next update will fix it.

Hey i m also facing same problem in my LUMIA 535 . I am using 16 gb memory card with class 10 of scandisk but still m facing the same problem that u described.... When i visited NOKIA CARE they told that this memory card is duplicated and i dont this that my memory card was duplicated... Plzzz yaar some one give me solution

I yesterday got my new Lumia 535. I have a 16GB Class 10 Transcend Micro SD Card.

But the phone says the card must be formatted. When I tried to format the card, an error occurred.

This card still works in my previous Lumia 520.

Please Help!

LOTS of ISSUES with this damn phone !!! :angry::angry::angry:

today i faced this awkward situation. i switched off my phone and after 3 hours i turned it on again. and guess what? this **** happened.
all apps from my SD card were greyed out in the menu. the homescreen shortcuts were absurdly showing blank square icons like something was there but nt anymore !!! Wtf ???

after searching for a solution i got here.....but couldn't find any solution......

now here's the deal>>>
i switched off my phone several times before and this is the first time something like this happened.
there was once an incident...right on the 2nd day of buying this ****....apps were not getting downloaded on SD card. but that card was damaged and i realized that a bit lately. SO phone was already malfunctioning by then cuz i tried installing apps and changing default storage for app install.....WINDOWS OS or just this **** 535 has these issues now THAT is the question

that problem was solved with a factory reset and i had to buy a new SD card. I bought a class 10 16gb twinmos microsd.

TODAY's problem is also fixed now....i don't know WP 8.1 or just **** 535 has the issue so if you follow the steps below your phone may start working again perfectly.

1.first of all, uninstall all your apps installed on your SD card. you can do this from storage sense>sd>apps+game>>>select all>uninstall....may take a few minutes depending on the amount of apps u have. :wink::wink:
2. then switch off and take out your SD card.
3. insert the SD card in your pc via some cardReader and check for error. you can do it by going to properties>tools>check for errors(1st option)
4. after checking insert it back in your phone. you should see the card is detected and totally empty. no apps nothing.
5. make a factory reset. (about>reset phone)
6. everything afterwards do as prompted. if you had any backups to OneDrive (sms/apps/settings) then those settings should be restored when you add your windows email account to the phone. OR you can just start fresh by not restoring the backups (which might be a good idea).
7. your phone now should work properly. change your default storage for apps download/install to SD card. TRY dowloading an app. it SHOULD work as it did for me.

this phone is hell of a headache for me now....:winktongue:
but windows phone's aesthetic beauty fools people every time. :grin:

Do not take out or insert SD card while phone is working. Turn off phone, take out battery, than take out or insert SD card. If you pull out or insert the SD card while phone is working it could cause the SD card not to work, because some apps instaled on SD could be running in the background for example.

i have a lumia 535 as well but i havnt got any of these issues the issue i am facing is that my lumia takes a hell of lot time to install games over 300mb

it doesnt take that much time to download a game as much as it takes to install one

Here's my experience when the apps are shown as "unavailable". It happens occasionally and it's a hassle. However this is what fixes it for me.

1. Go to "Storage", and it will ask you to scan and fix for error.
2. Once the word scanning goes off, the apps will still be unavailable. I used to uninstall it and reinstall, setup but it's too much work.
3. So what you do, hold the power button + volume down until you feel a slight vibration and the phone reboots.
4. Wait for it to load, you should see the apps available again.
5. If it's unstill unavailable, try Step 4 again.

Seems to have worked for me, the current MicroSd i'm using is a Sandisk Extreme Class 10 - 64GB. Used to use a Sandisk Ultra - 32GB Class 10. I would recommend investing in a higher end card for this particular device.

Hope this helps. I'm also running the latest Windows 10 Technical Preview, although there is issue with the Store (unrelated to this, will post in another thread)

I had the same issues on a 530 & 1320... Withe the Apps on the SSD, etc... Afte a whole lot of testing and messing around with the phones and infinite SD cards... The issue lies in the type of Format USED for the MicroSD cards... What solved the issue for me was formatting using the phone and also my laptop USING GPT FORMAT for the MicroSD card in question... I tested on 1 Kingston 16GB Class 10, 1 SanDisk Ultra 16 GB Class 10 UHS-1 and a Transcend Premium 32 GB Class 10 UHS-1... What worked for me was to format using DiskPart in Windows and CONVERTING TO GPT the MicroSD cards... After that all is good... I reboot either Lumia after inserting the SD and install or move the apps to the SD with no issues... Reboot again or Hard Reset and ALL THE APPS WORK PERFECTLY...

The reason being is that WP is running in UEFI Mode... In Windows when u connect your Lumia and Windows picks up the Drivers necesary... A driver named Limua UEFI Driver gets installed... Check Windows Programs & Features for it and u should see it as being installed...:winktongue:
