On my Nokia Lumia 925, why is the person on the other end of phone unable to hear me?

I have a nokia lumia 925, about a month ago when i put the speaker on to speak to friends they could not her me, I could clearly here them but not the other way round. Now even with the speaker off when I make a call I can hear them but they cannot hear me, I have applied some updates, done a soft reset and still not fixed the problem anyone help??

Have you tried recording a video to see if it's the microphone? If that's the case then you need to send it in for repairs. You can't fix a hardware issue with software.

If the mic works with a video then there's a software issue. In that case a hard reset may be in order.
